Description

35mm slides, audio tape and transcript (paired with slides), and catalog terminal printout for orientation training of the new online library catalog. The library went fully online with the catalog in 1989, moving from a terminal based server system and paper card catalog, to Dynix (now SirsiDynix) Online Library System. Slides show students and staff around the library's computer terminals, and many shots of the serial terminals, showing the green text on the CRTs for the Integrated Library System (ILS). Audio walks a user through using the new system and is paired with slides.

Transcript shows the audio on the left, and the approrpriate slide to be shuffled in a caraousel slide projector for training users to use the system. Many slides unidentified, and only some align with original audio. Slides that are not aligned with original audio are identified as such with the use of "_UI" for "unidentified image" in the file name.

Slides were digitized at 3200 DPI on an EPSON 12000XL. Audio digitized from a Maxwell UR60 tape using a Tascam 200MKVII Dual Cassette Deck, filtered through a Focusrite Clarett+ for sync stabilization.
