This collection brings together State of Utah legislative documents relating to the name and status changes that have taken place for Utah Tech University since 1933. The University went through several iterations of varying statuses from Dixie Normal College, Junior College, College, State College, State University--to formally shifting away from using "Dixie" in 2022--to become the first polytechnic modeled university in Utah, named Utah Tech University.
Included in this collection is also the codified Laws of Utah as printed by the Utah Legislative Printing Office for reference in finding the specific legislative bills in which various transactions affecting the university took place.
