  • Beginnings: The construction, community contributions, and early struggles of the St. George Stake Academy - later called Dixie College and Utah Tech University.
  • Struggle (1930s): Dixie College ownership was changed from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to the State of Utah.
  • Challenge and Support (1950s): State ownership of Dixie Junior College was threatened in the 1950s and the college was almost returned to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. During this time, members of the community came together to help construct student housing, including Dixiana.
  • Growth and Legacy (1980s): The construction of the Dixie Center and the legacy of community support for Dixie College.
